CinePunked presents HOT FUZZ at Crescent Arts Centre

This May, CinePunked present the 2nd edition of their new monthly film nights at Crescent Arts Centre Belfast!

From the team that brought you Shaun of the Dead and The World’s End.

Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is a by-the-book London cop with an arrest rate so impressive it’s starting to make his colleagues look bad. When he finds himself promoted to sergeant in the sleepy village of Sandford, it looks like his biggest law enforcement challenges will be arresting underage drinkers and picking up escapee swans. Until the villagers start dying a series of grisly deaths…. Angel is a by-the-book London cop with an arrest rate so impressive it’s starting to make his colleagues look bad. Edgar Wright’s Hot Fuzz is chock full of cultural citations and genre-fusion continuing a style cemented with the teams work on TV sitcom Spaced. The cast not only includes Spaced regulars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Julia Deakin, but a host of iconic guests like former James Bond Timothy Dalton, and The Equalizer‘s Edward Woodward.

After the film CinePunked’s Robert JE Simpson and Dr Rachael Kelly will host a live podcast recording about the film. Audience participation is encouraged.

As always this event is BYOB. Cornettos optional.

Tickets cost £7 and can be pre-booked from the Crescent Arts website.
